Tsutsumi Shironaga (堤代長)

Shironaga TSUTSUMI (March 13, 1716 - December 21, 1783) was a Kugyo (high court noble) in the Edo period. He was the seventh head of the Tsutsumi family, which was Meike (or Meika) (the fourth highest status for court nobles). His foster father was the sixth head of the Tsutsumi family, Harunaga TSUTSUMI. His biological father was Toshikiyo BOJO. His mother was a daughter of Terunaga TSUTSUMI, the third head of the Tsutsumi family. His lawful wife was the daughter of Korenaga TAKENOUCHI. Yukinaga TSUTSUMI, Chozan WAKAE (adopted heir of the Wakae family), Yorihiro HAMURO were his sons.
Shunkoin who was the concubine of Shigehide SHIMAZU, the lord of Satsuma domain,
and the biological mother of Narinobu SHIMAZU,
(also known as Osenman no kata), Tamasawa (chief Joro [high rank woman servant] in O-oku [the inner halls of Edo Castle where the wife of the Shogun and her servants reside]), and the wife of Mototsuna IWANO were his daughters. His official court rank was Shonii (Senior Second Rank), Chunagon (Middle Councilor).
